La miopía es una condición visual en la que el paciente tiene una visión borrosa lejana (más de 1 a 3mts) y buena visión cercana (5 a 25 cm).
Esto es debido a que los rayos que provienen del infinito se enfocan antes de la retina (exactamente en la retina es donde deben enfocar los rayos para poder tener una buena visión llamada Emetropía, que es la ausencia de graduación).
